BACKGROUND

NATO is planning a major invasion of the Norwegian coastline. The invasion
force started in Canada, sailed across the Atlantic and took Keflavik in
a vicious battle. Anchored now at Keflavik are two carrier groups and one
surface group. The surface group consists of 6 LSTs guarded by various
screening ships. Two Knox class frigates protect the LSTs from submarine
attack. The U.S.S. Paul FF-1080 leads this group. ( I was stationed on the
Paul from 1973-1977 and she is included in all my scenarios).

Use your carrier groups to sweep the area ahead of the LSTs and remove any
soviet surface units or submarines. The Reds know that you are coming and have to stop your invasion force at all costs. Expect relentless air attacks from deadly land based Backfire bombers and carrier based Flogger aircraft.

BLUE ORDERS
Get your surface group to Norway and place at least three LSTs on station
in the waters near Bergen.

MINIMUM VICTORY CONDITIONS
Keep three LSTs safely on station for two hours.

TOTAL VICTORY CONDITIONS
Keep three LSTs safely on station for two hours.
Destroy two Soviet airfields.

TIPS
This is an action-packed scenario that will keep you on the edge of your
chair for hours. The Soviets will launch constant air attacks against your
surface forces and airfields. You best bet is to gain air superiority as
quickly as possible by either destroying their airfields or weakening them
through attrition. Commit your Tomcats and Eagles to shoot down as many
aircraft as possible. Satellite recon reports many Soviet surface units
between you and Norway so be prepared to deal with them. There is a
battleship included in one of the carrier groups and will work well for
long range anti-surface attacks.
The Soviets may get a nuclear release so stay on your toes !!!!!!
